A. Admission to First year B. Pharmacy

Intake capacity is 100 seats.

B. Admission to Second year B. Pharmacy

Intake capacity is 10% of first year intake capacity of last year.

C. Admission to First year D. Pharmacy

Intake capacity is 60 seats.

D. Admission to First year M. Pharmacy- Pharmaceutics 

Intake capacity is 15 seats.

E. Admission to First year M. Pharmacy- Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance 

Intake capacity is 03 seats.

(A) Admission Procedure to First year D. Pharm

Sanction Intake: 60 seats

The information brochure for admission is available on D.T.E. website. The brochure gives the rules and information regarding the distribution of seats under various heads i.e. Home University (HU), Outside Home University (OHU), Institute Level seats, Minority seats, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) seats etc.; details of the Reservation and provision of seats, Fees concession offered to eligible candidates, details of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), details of the Admission rounds, Institute wise Information, etc.

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:

(i)The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology subject.

Note: Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only.

(2) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.-

(i) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology subject.

  1. ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Rules.

 

(B) Admission Procedure for First Year B. Pharmacy & Direct Second Year Admission

Sanctioned Intake Capacity

100 seats for First Year B. Pharmacy

10 % of total sanctioned intake for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy

  1. A) ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR FIRST YEAR B. PHARMACY:-

Out of total admissions at B. Pharm (i.e. 100), about 80% admissions (80 seats) are done through Centralized Admission Procedure run by Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai on the basis of MHT-CET/NEET score. The MHT-CET test is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra, Admission Regulatory Commission, and State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai. The centralized admissions are done by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, having website www.cetcell.mahacet.org.  The remaining 20% of admissions (20 seats) are done by the Management at the Institute level on the basis of the MHT-CET/NEET score obtained. If any CAP seat remains or becomes vacant after the CAP Rounds, then the same is filled in by the Candidate from the same Category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. Further, if the seats remain vacant then the seat is filled on the basis of the Inter-Se-Merit of the applicants.

  1. B) ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR DIRECT SECOND YEAR B. PHARMACY.:-

Admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure run by Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai on the basis of Diploma Score. The centralized admissions are done by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai having website www.dte.org.in. If seats remain vacant after the Centralised Admission Procedure, admissions are done by the Management at the Institute level.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. A) First Year Bachelor of Pharmacy:-

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together

(iii) Should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by Competent Authority.

(2) All India Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together

iii) Should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by Competent Authority. However preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

(3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together

(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

  1. B) Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission- for Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates:-

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Pharmacy Council of India or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

(iii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

 

(C) ADMISSION PROCEDURE: M. Pharmacy

Admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure on the basis of Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) score conducted by All India Council for Technical Education, New Dehli. The centralized admissions are done by Government of Maharashtra, Department of Higher and Technical Education, Mumbai as per Regulation of Admission and Fees Act 2015 having website www.cetcell.mahacet.org. Out of total admissions, about 80% admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure run by Government of Maharashtra, Department of Higher and Technical Education, Mumbai on the basis of GPAT score. The Centralized Admission Procedure consists of two rounds of admission. Allotment in CAP Round-I and II of Home University Seats /Other than Home University seats/ State Level seats will be carried out as per inter se merit of candidates having Maharashtra State Candidature. Seats will be allotted to candidates as per inter se merit, options filled and seats available at that point of time in the stage of CAP Round-I and II. All reserved category candidates (including SBC in their original category) shall be considered for allotment in all stages. Remaining 20% admissions are done by the Management at the Institute level on the basis of GPAT score.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(1) For Maharashtra Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from any All India Council for Technical Education or Pharmacy Council of India or Central or State Government approved institution, with at least 55% marks (at least 50% marks in case of Backward Class category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State); The Candidates should have registration with State Pharmacy Council. The candidates not having registration should produce the registration certificate within one month after securing admission.

(iii) Obtained non zero positive score in Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by National Testing Agency;

(iv) For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

(2) Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates: 

(i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from any All India Council for Technical Education or Pharmacy Council of India or Central or State Government approved institution, with at least 55% marks.
(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

Admission Procedure:

  • Admission to D./B./M. Pharmacy is done through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State Mumbai.
  • Merit for admission is decided based on the score in the MH-CET for Pharmacy to be conducted by DTE in the month of May every year.
  • Notification regarding this will be published by the DTE Maharashtra State Government in leading news papers and details of rules and regulations and dates of schedule shall be given in the brochure to be issued by DTE.
