Department of Pharmacology

  • Welcome to the Pharmacology Department, where we delve into the science of drug action and its impact on health. Our academic programs are designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of pharmacological principles and their practical applications.

  • Our department offers a range of courses at undergraduate level, covering core topics such as drug mechanisms, pharmacokinetics, and clinical pharmacology. These programs are crafted to build a strong foundation in how drugs interact with biological systems and how these interactions can be harnessed to improve therapeutic outcomes.

  • Research is integral to our academic offerings. Students and faculty engage in pioneering research that addresses critical issues in drug development, safety, and efficacy. Our research spans various areas, including pharmacogenomics, toxicology, and innovative drug therapies, contributing to advancements in medical science and patient care.

  • We have CCSEA registered animal house facility (reg. no. 1873/PO/Re/S/16/CPCSEA) to carry out research in laboratory animals like, Rat, Mice, guinea pigs etc.

  • We promote an interdisciplinary approach, encouraging collaboration with other departments and institutions. This enriches our educational experience and prepares students for diverse careers in academia, industry, and clinical settings.

  • Our department is dedicated to excellence in education and research, aiming to shape the future of pharmacology through rigorous training and novel discoveries.
